Christmas At Setanta Chalet

Posted: 4th October 2015

There’s something truly magical about spending Christmas in the snowy mountains. Wake up to the most incredible view. Open gifts around the real tree. Spend the day skiing instead of stressing about the turkey and return to the perfect family Christmas dinner prepared for you (and no washing up). In the evening relax with a glass of good wine in front of the open fire.

Christmas Snow Record

Last year the snow was unseasonably late but when it arrived it made up for it! Thanks to our proximity to Mont Blanc, the Grand Massif usually enjoys abundant regular snowfalls throughout the season and the lift company keep the snow cannons running to top up the natural snow. Flaine have already had their first flakes of snow and we’re eager to get the skis out.

Christmas 2015

The dates are ideal this year. Arrive for the start of the season for a wonderful week of skiing (sending the odd selfie to make everyone at home jealous). Christmas Day is on the Friday and you don’t have to go home until Sunday.

Instead of spending a week on the sofa watching specials, spend it skiing down the pistes.
