The Grand Massif has many fantastic slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers. Part of the fun is exploring the resort for yourselves so I won’t give too much away and just share a couple of highlights.

For an adventurous days skiing I recommend going across to Flaine and taking the gondola up to Les Grandes Platieres. On sunny days turn left for the cruisey blue along the ridge and take in the incredible views but for a full day turn right to follow méphisto supérieure to Lindars Nord chairlift and up to the furtherest point away from the chalet. The top of the red looks steep but settles down or turn left for a fast black.

The longest descent in the Grand Massif is from Tete des Saix (2120m) down to Morillon village at 700m. Once you get below Biollaires there are a choice of red and blue runs through the trees.

Visit Grand Massif website for interactive and downloadable piste maps.

Your chalet hosts Nicola and Nick have years of experience skiing in the Grand Massif and can give you many superb recommendations and suggest routes and itineraries to suit your groups skiing level.
