Recommended Runs
Published on 9th November, 2014
There are no shortage of runs in the Grand Massif and I wanted to share some of my favourites to get you in the mood. The main skiing starts from Morillon 1100 Les Esserts, just a couple of minutes drive from the chalet.
Cascades Run
The 14km Cascades run (waterfalls piste) is definitely one of the highlights. Ski across to Flaine and take the cable-car up to the start for an unmissable days skiing. The run takes in the Sixt Fer a Cheval Nature Reserve and the Gers bowl and hop on the shuttle bus back to Morillon or we can pick you up. Definitely don’t forget the camera when you do this run!
Green Marvel
The long Green Marvel is a lovely sweeping route through the forest. Its an easy cruise making it perfect for beginners and for intermediate skiers to build confidence. For more experienced skiers its a very pleasant run and effortless skiing. It comes down into Morillon 1100 and I love ending the day with it.
Sairon
The blue Sairon also brings you back into Morillon 1100. Its a long blue with jumps and banks to the side of the piste if you’re feeling adventurous. Sairon is particularly good as a first run of the season to get your ski legs back; take the Sairon chairlift from Morillon and by the bottom you’ll be ready for the top of the mountain.
