Top 5 Reasons To Choose Morillon This Year

Posted: Sunday 17th July 2016

Just a few reasons why I love coming Morillon and why it is perfect for your family ski gholiday this year.

Location, location, location

Only 50 minutes drive from Geneva Airport you hit the slopes after lunch on your first day.

At the heart of the Grand Massif ski area

Morillon is one of five interconnected resorts within the Grand Massif ski area. Flaine is our better known neighbour up the mountain, Sixt-Fer-a-cheval is incredibly pretty, Samoëns has some wonderful cafes and shops, Les Carroz has gorgeous tree-lined runs but its Morillon thats central to it all.

Family friendly

The village is quiet with plenty of activities and beginners runs. The Village Des Enfants (Childrens Village) offers day care, tuition plus sledge runs, ice-rink and host of other snowy fun for kids aged 6 months to 10 years old. Ski schools are superb with fluent English speaking instructors.

On the mountain

The fast cable car will whisk you up to where easy runs and lifts connect to the rest of the Grand Massif. With 265km of pistes (20 green, 65 blue, 50 red & 14 black) and 69 lifts offers challenges for all abilities.

Don’t miss the lovely blue 14km long Piste des Cascades which passes waterfalls as it gently meanders down to Sixt.

Value

Unlike many other resorts Morillon is reasonably priced. From adult lift passes, only €213 for 6 days (2016/17 season), to coffee on the slopes, typically €2.25, Morillon offers superb value for money.

I hope we can welcome you to Morillon this winter and share this most wonderful resort with you.
