Morillon’s outdoor ice rink isn’t quite as you’d expect. Instead of frozen water the surface is a special material which mimics the sensation of skating on real ice. The kids have the energy to skate but after a day on the slopes I prefer to rest my legs, at Morillon you can ski whatever the season.

The 400m² rink is next to the tennis courts at the Lac Bleu leisure centre. Special “S3” skates are available to hire (€5 children, €6 for adults) and currently the rink is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2:30pm to 7:30pm.

Whether you’re a pro on the ice or if you have never skated before, skating in the sun is a unique experience not to be missed.
